This service was a lifesaver when my terribly broke ass moved from PA to CA.Basically, you fill a tractor trailer box with your stuff, then put up a partition. They charge by the foot, length-wise away from the front wall. (minimum of 5 ft) They then put freight in the unused portion. You can either load/unload at one of their shipyards, or you can pay a fee to have the trailer dropped at your door. 8yrs ago I paid ~$800 to go from Pittsburgh to San Francisco. Just a thought,.. as the fuel cost for this mileage may be high.
